Positive Displacement Pumps
Positive displacement pumps transport liquids or gasses by enclosing a fixed space with every revolution. Due to this the capacity is linear related to the rotation speed of the pump.
There are many different type of positive displacement pumps. Some examples are:
- Piston pumps
- Lobe pumps
- Screw pumps
Every type of pump has its own advantage and disadvantage. Generally speaking positive displacement pumps have the capability to allow self priming, which is a main advantage in favor of a centrifugal pump. Another advantage is the capability to transport more viscous products. Our team of well educated people can assist you to select the correct pump for your application.
