Electric-driven hydraulic power-packs
An electric-hydraulic power-pack delivers oil under pressure to hydraulic motors or cylinders. HSP supplies these power-packs usually combined with hydraulic pumps. The pressurized oil is transported through hydraulic hoses or pipes to the hydraulic pump. The velocity of the pump can be infinitely varied by the oil flow. Multiple pumps can be powered by one power-pack. In that case, proportional valves are needed to regulate the speed of the connected pumps individually. Some applications of electric hydraulic power-packs are the drive for:
-
Salvage pumps
-
Oil transportation pumps
-
Ballast pumps
-
Fire fighting pump units
The type of power-pack that we supply depends on your needs. Holland Special Pumps has power-packs designed and manufactured as a standalone diesel powered units for onshore oil and gas plants, but also electrically powered units for installation in the engine room of ships. The diesel engine or electric motor is the actuator in the power-pack.
Functionality of hydraulic power-packs
The compressed oil through hoses or piping is transported to the hydraulic driven pump. The velocity of the hydraulic pump can be varied by the oil flow. Multiple pumps can be powered by one power-pack. In that case, proportional valves are needed to regulate the speed of the connected pumps individually.
These power-packs can be configured for a wide capacity range from 10 kW to 1000 kW. These hydraulic power-packs can be placed in one unit. Depending on the needs and budget of the client a customized configuration is possible.
Some options:
-
Noise insulated or on open skid
-
Local control or remote control
-
Sensors and alarms
-
Inside lifting/crash frames acc. to DNV27.1 or containerized.
-
Lightweight for easy transport
How can we help you?
The electric power-packs can be delivered with an ATEX certificate. This is necessary when you are pumping in potentially explosive environments. Our power-packs are available in various designs and capacities.
